“This is the most beautiful venue, the owners are fabulous and couldn’t be any more accommodating. When things went a little wrong on the night with hot drinks being supplied by an external bar company, they already had it under control and helped to make sure there wasn’t any disruption for our guests. “Where do I begin with how wonderful the hormead grain barn was for us… This venue offered us everything we needed for the large guest numbers we had at a fraction of the price that other venues were offering. We’re very appreciative as this venue was the only one that could accommodate the large number of guests we wanted to celebrate with us and still be within our budget. It meant we could have everyone there and that in itself meant the world. The setting is absolutely gorgeous and offers a wonderfully rustic backdrop for our wedding photos. All the little venue farm styling touches made all the photos so unique. We loved that and so did our guests! The large bar is not only beautiful but ran so smoothly particularly as our guest number was so high. The large space meant that we could include every little touch we wanted to make the celebration and personal and unique as we wished. All of which was made possible by Jo. Jo couldn’t have been more helpful from recommending suppliers to being there for us for every question we had in the lead up, to her help on the day making sure everything ran smoothly and everything was thought of, and for keeping everything calm and simple at times that can often be stressful! But thank you most of for making sure our wedding celebration was an unforgettable one full of everyone we wanted to celebrate with. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this venue to another bride and groom to be!”

“We had our wedding reception at the Hormead Grain Barn in June and we couldn’t have dreamed of a better day. When we started the planning process we knew we wanted the day to be relaxed, fun and a little bit ‘different’. We also wanted to be able to accommodate a large number of guests for the whole day as we’re very lucky to know lots of wonderful people. The barn ticked all of these boxes. From the get go, Jo was there to answer any questions we had and was more than happy to allow us countless visits to the barn during the planning process. Jo (and her wonderful family) were also at hand on the day, just in case we needed anything, which meant we were able to relax and fully enjoy ourselves without any worries. The dry hire nature of the barn meant we had full autonomy over our day and made the planning process such a fun experience for us. We were able to ‘build’ our day exactly as we envisioned and it was so special being able to really make it our own. We hired incredible caterers, had a fantastic bar provide our drinks for the day and had outdoor games on the lawn which were brilliant fun for all ages. Having access to the barn the day before the wedding was great as it meant we had time to set everything up without any stress. It also made for a really special day, as our families joined us to help. The barn is such a brilliant venue and we had such lovely feedback from our guests. It’s spacious, quirky and has such beautiful surroundings which make for the most incredible photographs!! We’re endlessly grateful for the day we had at the Hormead Grain Barn and would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat.”
